This class will be held at the pavilion at the Bullitt County Extension Office (384 Halls Lane, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). Learn how to use a soil blocker and make your own blocks to take home. Soil blocking is a sustainable seed-starting method where you use a special tool to compress a moist seed-starting mix into solid blocks, creating a "pot" and growing medium in one, which eliminates the need for plastic trays and fosters stronger seedlings through air pruning of the root. This event is rain or shine! Every year, the Bullitt County Master Gardeners host numerous vendors selling a wide variety of items: vegetables, herbs, natives, flowers, bird houses, garden art, local honey, and much more!
