Soil Blocking

Soil Blocking

In-Person

This class will be held at the pavilion at the Bullitt County Extension Office (384 Halls Lane, Shepherdsville, KY 40165). Learn how to use a soil blocker and make your own blocks to take home. Soil blocking is a sustainable seed-starting method where you use a special tool to compress a moist seed-starting mix into solid blocks, creating a "pot" and growing medium in one, which eliminates the need for plastic trays and fosters stronger seedlings through air pruning of the root. Requires registration.
